Lots of new Canadiana this week, including recently released tracks by Junior Boys, Jill Barber, Timber Timbre, Tim Hecker and Mother Mother. Also, the lead track from Swedish songstress Lykke Li‘s latest album, Wounded Rhymes; and in honour of SXSW, new material from Austin’s …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead.
Best of all, to begin a new series of album features, we’ll be hearing the first few tracks off of Electrelane‘s awe-inspiring 2004 release,The Power Out. It’s still hard for us to believe these three songs all come from the same group, let alone come off the same album. And good news for fans: Electrelane announced last month that they’ll be reforming to hit the festival circuit this summer.
